Historical Central Park Apartment
Situated in a historic building adjacent to Manhattan’s Central Park, this distinctive apartment has been thoughtfully renovated to honor its original architectural elements. We divided the grand parlor, creating a spacious living area at the front, with a flexible workspace and dining area toward the back. Designed for our art and antiques collector client, this back parlor serves as a functional studio by day and transforms into an elegant dining room for evening gatherings.
The second bedroom was reimagined into a versatile study and guest room, featuring a sleeper sofa and an artist’s drafting table. In the primary bedroom, we designed a custom headboard, inspired by the luxurious French hotels from our client’s travels. The bathroom underwent a complete renovation to enhance accessibility.
At the end of the hallway lies a delightful surprise: a retro-styled kitchen, infused with nostalgic charm. Throughout the project, we curated vintage and antique furnishings, meticulously reupholstering them to give each piece a vibrant second life.
